Kaiwiki Park Improvements
There is a renewed and energetic effort to realize improvements for Kaiwiki Park. The pavilion is in sore need of renovation and the park is lacking facilities for children and families. A group of neighbors has met with Councilwoman Valerie Poindexter and park representatives to discuss steps to move forward on this long overdue project. Valerie is very supportive of park improvements and with her guidance we have set up a meeting with the Mayor. To this end, we will be canvassing the community to collect signatures to present to the Mayor. We would very much appreciate your signature to demonstrate that there is a need at Kaiwiki Park that is widely supported by the community.

One more thing…Last year’s dues combined with a T-Shirt purchase was a success. (Buy a WKCA t-shirt for $20 and approximately $10 goes towards membership). We raised over $500, which is significantly more than we typically collect in annual dues PLUS it promotes the community AND you get a nifty t-shirt to wear all year. We are going to be doing the same thing this year with some minor changes to the design/color and quality of t-shirt. Currently I have gray/black logo as ONE option (see below) and will try and get another color t-shirt if I can. Feel free to reply with suggestions. I will use this as a poll and decide by Saturday. If you are happy with Gray/Black then go ahead and order right away.
Here is the Link
You will have the option to pay extra and have the shirts delivered to your house or save money and I will deliver them personally like I did last year. Remember to Wear ’em if you got ‘em!
